NetEase Games has launched the Final Console Open Beta for Once Human, its supernatural open-world survival game, on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The beta runs now through July 9, 2026 (Europe/UK) and is available to players across North America, South America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan — with spaces distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once Human drops players into a Stardust-ravaged apocalypse where reality has come completely undone. Playing as a Meta-Human, you’ll explore a vast wasteland haunted by walking buses that stalk desolate plains and mutated, whale-like aircraft drifting through a shattered sky. The game lets you build and defend territory, capture Deviants to fight at your side, and harness Mutagens to push your own evolution beyond human limits. Five in-game scenarios cover both PvE and PvP playstyles, and Xbox and PlayStation players share unified console servers with full cross-play between the two platforms — though PC and mobile cross-play is not yet supported during this test period.

The beta includes meaningful incentives for early participants. Players who reach Level 20 with any character, or log at least three hours exclusively in RaidZone, will unlock a Cosmetic Selection Crate and a Weapon Skin Selection Crate. Crucially, all earned Starchrom, obtained cosmetics and outfits, and up to six collected Deviants will carry over permanently to the full game launch.

To join on PlayStation 5, search for “Once Human Beta” on the PlayStation Store and download directly. On Xbox Series X|S, open the Xbox Insider Hub app, navigate to Previews, and search for “Once Human.”
