Once Human, NetEase Games and Starry Studio’s post-apocalyptic survival game, will officially launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 25, 2026. Pre-orders are now live across both platforms, accompanied by exclusive reward packs.

Once Human drops players into a Stardust-infected wasteland where anomalies — bizarre environmental and biological mutations — form the core of every survival mechanic. Players explore distinct scenarios across a sprawling open world, harness anomalies to automate shelters and mutate themselves for combat, and face down massive creatures in a mix of PvE and PvP gameplay. The console version launches with six full scenarios and a PvP spin-off, totaling over 300 hours of content from day one.

The console edition introduces a new First-Person Perspective that lets players swap freely between first- and third-person views at any time — a feature debuting exclusively on console and designed to take full advantage of 4K displays. The game also supports Quality Mode (4K/60FPS) and Performance Mode (120FPS), along with a bespoke controller experience featuring distinct rumble patterns for giant monsters, trigger resistance during boss fights, and elastic tactile feedback for loot drops. Full crossplay and cross-progression across PC, PS5, and Xbox are included at launch.

Two pre-order bundles are available now: the Starter Pack ($9.99) includes weapon skins, a 30-day METAPASS, and a home facility skin, while the Radiance Pack ($14.99) adds three character skins, a Premium Battle Pass, and exclusive avatar items. Once Human is free-to-play.
