Fans of the Friday the 13th franchise have a new date to mark on their calendars. Peacock has unveiled a first look at Crystal Lake, the upcoming prequel series from A24 and creator Brad Caleb Kane, with all eight episodes set to premiere on October 15, 2026.

Set before the events of the original Friday the 13th, Crystal Lake centers on Pam Voorhees, played by Linda Cardellini, as she struggles with the loss of her young son, Jason, who drowned in Crystal Lake nearly a year earlier. Still consumed by grief, Pam’s life is disrupted when two strangers arrive asking questions about her past. Their investigation sparks a series of unsettling events that leaves the residents of Crystal Lake questioning who Pam Voorhees really is.

The production is backed by A24, with executive producers Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, Michael Lennox, and Roy Lee joining Kane behind the scenes.

The cast includes series regulars Linda Cardellini, William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom, alongside recurring cast members Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik. Michael Lennox directs the first three episodes, followed by Celine Held and Logan George directing episodes four through six, with Quyen Tran helming the final two episodes.
