Paramount+ has announced that Scary Movie — the sixth installment in the iconic horror-comedy franchise — begins streaming exclusively on the platform on September 3, 2026. The film will also arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 22 from Paramount Home Entertainment.
Twenty-six years after the original massacre, Cindy Campbell, Brenda Meeks, Shorty Meeks, and Ray Wilkins find themselves back in the crosshairs of a brand-new masked killer who clearly never learned when to quit. No horror IP is safe as the crew tears through reboots, requels, elevated horror, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final — because nothing is sacred and every line gets crossed.
Directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House, A Haunted House 2) from a screenplay by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez, the film reunites franchise originals Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall alongside returning favorites Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, and Chris Elliott. Newcomers include Kenan Thompson, Kim Wayans, Damon Wayans Jr., Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Cameron Scott Roberts, Savannah Lee Nassif, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Benny Zielke, and Ruby Snowber. The film is rated R and runs 96 minutes. It is a Paramount Pictures and Miramax presentation.
Scary Movie grossed over $230 million worldwide at the box office earlier this year. It arrives on Paramount+ on September 3, 2026, and on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 22. Pre-order physical copies now; stream it at paramountplus.com.
