Foundry Communications has announced the streaming premiere of Burning (2025), the Kyrgyz psychological horror film that won both the Gold Audience Award and the Special Jury Award at the Fantasia Film Festival, arriving exclusively on IndiePix Unlimited on September 4. Directed by Radik Ashimov from a screenplay by Aizada Amangeldy and Dastan Madalbekov, the film uses the fractured-truth structure of the Rashomon tradition to peel back a night of unexplained violence in a remote village.

The story begins with grief — a young family has just buried their firstborn son. In the weeks that follow, the mother vanishes into the forest edge. A grandmother arrives uninvited. Then the house burns down. No one can agree on why. At the village shop, three neighbors trade fragments of the same night, and each version darkens the picture further: a curse, some say; grief turned monstrous, say others. As the full picture assembles, the horror waiting inside the silences between testimonies becomes clear.
Burning is not built on jump scares. It is steeped in dread — the specific kind that comes from a story that changes every time it’s told, from a fire that never quite goes out. Critics have already taken notice: Dread Central called it “confident, intoxicating…a staggering heartbreaking achievement,” while Screen Anarchy described it as “a filmmaker and a region that we will continue to keep our eye on.”
Burning premieres exclusively on IndiePix Unlimited on September 4, 2026.
