Second Sight Films is giving Ti West’s acclaimed X trilogy the collector’s treatment this fall with new 4K UHD Limited Edition Box Sets for both Pearl and MaXXXine, releasing November 17, 2025. The two releases celebrate West’s genre-defining collaboration with modern horror icon Mia Goth, bringing the origin and conclusion of her unforgettable journey to high-definition life.
Pearl, the 2022 prequel to X, traces the early life of Pearl Douglas, a young woman confined to her family’s Texas farm during 1918. With her husband away at war and her mother enforcing strict discipline, Pearl’s longing for fame turns into a consuming obsession that spirals into violence. Goth’s portrayal was hailed as a career-defining performance, earning praise from The Guardian, The Independent, and filmmaker Martin Scorsese.
The Pearl 4K UHD Limited Edition Box Set features new artwork by Thinh Dinh, a 120-page book filled with exclusive essays, and a variety of special features, including interviews with Ti West, Mia Goth, and key members of the creative team. A Standard Edition 4K UHD will also be available on the same date.
Following the rise and fall of its tragic protagonist, West’s trilogy concludes with MaXXXine, the neon-soaked 1980s Hollywood story that finds Goth reprising her role as Maxine Minx. Having survived the brutal events of X, Maxine heads to Los Angeles in pursuit of stardom, only to become entangled in a world of cults, corruption, and murder. As she fights to leave her past behind, the path to fame becomes as treacherous as the horrors she thought she escaped.
The MaXXXine 4K UHD Limited Edition Box Set includes new artwork by OC Agency Group, a 120-page book of essays, and extensive bonus features such as interviews with West and the film’s ensemble cast. That cast includes Kevin Bacon, Giancarlo Esposito, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Sophie Thatcher, and Moses Sumney. A Standard Edition 4K UHD will also be available.
