GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has announced the winners of the 2026 Dorian Film Awards, with Sinners emerging as the most recognized film of the year.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film received six awards including Film of the Year and Director of the Year. The film’s success marked a strong showing for genre storytelling at the ceremony.
Acting honors went to Rose Byrne, who received Film Performance of the Year, and Amy Madigan, who earned Supporting Film Performance of the Year. Filmmaker and actor Eva Victor was named Rising Star, with their film Sorry, Baby also earning two awards.
The ceremony also recognized Tim Curry with the Timeless Star achievement award, honoring a career that spans film, theater, television, and music. Curry first gained international attention for his performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and has since appeared in projects ranging from Clue to the 1990 television adaptation of It.
The awards were announced in Hollywood during the Dorians Film Toast, attended by members of GALECA and guests from across the entertainment industry.
