Other Dimension Films has released the official trailer for Slaughter of the Damned, a British horror film from Kent-based writer-director Keith R Robinson (Pounce, The Unwelcome), set for release in Summer 2026.

The film follows two reporters dispatched to a cursed farm in the rural English countryside, tasked with investigating a string of grisly murders targeting slaughterhouse workers. What they find is a village shrouded in secrecy, locals who speak of nature fighting back, and something far more sinister lurking inside the condemned abattoir buildings — shadows that move, strange animal sounds in the dead of night, and bodies turning up mutilated. It’s classic creature-feature territory executed with a very British sensibility.
Slaughter of the Damned distinguishes itself with a commitment to practical effects, including hand-built rod puppet creatures designed to look better than anything CGI could deliver. Special effects were produced by Neve Pearce and Catalina Pearce (puppets), alongside Rebecca Wheeler (Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey) on gore FX. The film was shot in the Kent countryside and at The Coachhouse Studios in Farningham, South East England.

“I wanted to get away from CGI monsters — I hate the look,” said Robinson. “For me, FX has to be real: real models, real puppets, real lighting, everything. I saw how people were using amazing-looking rod puppets against a blue screen and knew that we could make our 7-foot monsters work this way and have them interact with actors in real life and look better than CGI. The results have been fantastic.”
The cast includes Brian King, Louise Anderson, Kit Smith, Sean Hayes, Giselle Parker, Tabitha Jinks, Ben Jones, and Seb Fear. Slaughter of the Damned is the fourth feature from Other Dimension Films, following The Unwelcome (2010), Pounce (2019), Sniper Corpse (2019), and Comic Shock (2023).
