Spirit Tasting Roadshow Tour and Blu-ray From Chris LaMartina

Terror Vision Original Productions has announced Spirit Tasting, a horror comedy from Chris LaMartina (WNUF Halloween Special), which will tour theaters across America as a roadshow from November through early January before arriving on Blu-ray. The film was formally announced at Variety.

A post-punk riff on The Monkey’s Paw, the story follows three former punks as they toast a late bandmate at a distillery on New Year’s Eve. A strange sommelier invites them to a top-shelf tasting with one catch: every bottle requires a wish. As each desire twists into doom, the old friends learn that every pour at the Red Bat Distillery carries a deadly price.

LaMartina shot the film in just four days for $40,000 to celebrate his 40th birthday, inspired by the legend of Roger Corman making features like The Little Shop of Horrors and The Terror in under a week. He directed and edited from a script co-written with Michael Varrati. The cast includes Sean Doherty, Matt Lake, Melissa LaMartina, Trevor Wilhelms, Matt Baughman, Cate Paris, and Tatiana Nya Ford, with cameos from Grady Hendrix, Clay McLeod Chapman, Peaches Christ, and Henry Zebrowski. Producers are Melissa LaMartina, Chris LaMartina, Michael Varrati, and Ted Geoghegan, with Ryan Graveface as executive producer.

The filmmaker and select cast will appear at every roadshow screening for introductions and Q&As. Dates include November 12, 2026 at The Senator Theatre in Baltimore; November 20 at The Music Box in Chicago; December 5 at the Los Feliz 3 in Los Angeles; December 28 at The Twisted Spine in Brooklyn; and December 31 at Cinema Salem in Salem, Massachusetts. Additional stops include Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Red Bank, Seymour, Providence, Catskill, Wind Gap, and Ashburn. The Blu-ray will include a feature-length making-of documentary.
