Craig Singer’s psychological horror feature The Block has wrapped production and post-production as of October 2026, with a first look released today. Jack Falahee (Death of a Salesman) stars as Mitch James, a successful horror writer at the top of his career whose case of writer’s block turns murderous when a fan-turned-girlfriend named Natalie (Saphira Moran, The Only One) becomes dangerously obsessed.
Singer, a former Creative VP at Disney, directs from a script by horror writer Robert Dean Klein. The pair previously teamed on the award-winning 6:45. The ensemble also includes Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen, Shutter Island), Thomas G. Waites (The Thing), Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier), Chris Noth (Sex and the City), Armen Garo, Elias Koteas, and Carrie Jo Crosby.
“I’ve been developing The Block for many years,” said Singer. “The original idea, what an artist is compelled to go through to secure their art and legacy, feels even more urgent in 2026. The Block isn’t about jump scares; it’s a philosophic fable for our times.”
The film is a co-production between Singer’s U.S.-based Cascrator Films and Australia’s Three777 Films, which co-produced Beast and the slasher The Only One. No premiere date has been announced.
