The Demon Detective, a new supernatural mystery horror from writer-director T.C. De Wit (Star Trek: Legacies, Blade: Heart of Darkness), lands on UK digital platforms on August 17 via Miracle Media. The film reunites a stellar cast of genre icons and character actors in a paranormal procedural with a dark, personal edge.

Miles Mako (Dustyn Gulledge, Silicon Valley) is a Catholic outcast who has reinvented himself as a supernatural exorcist for hire, banishing ghosts, specters, and dark spirits back to hell alongside his right-hand man Pin (Eugene Young, Squid Game). When a new client named Clara shows up with a demonic presence she can’t shake, she pulls Miles into a case that begins to look disturbingly familiar — and the investigation starts leading him back toward a traumatic childhood he’s spent his entire life outrunning. In his quest to connect the dots between past and present, Miles must face the very evil he has always feared most.

De Wit directs from his own screenplay. The cast is anchored by genre icon Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water) and Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Escape from New York), alongside Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day, Kill Bill Vol. 1) and Tom Virtue (Even Stevens, Green Book).

For fans of supernatural detective stories in the vein of Hellboy, Constantine, or the Harry Dresden series, The Demon Detective wears its influences with confidence while carving out its own occult mythology.
