The dinosaurs are back in the arena as Ryan Bellgardt’s sequel The Jurassic Games: Extinction locks in summer release dates. The feature lands on Digital and On Demand June 24, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on July 22.
Set in a not-too-distant future, the worldwide phenomenon “The Jurassic Games” pits ten death-row inmates against prehistoric predators inside an advanced virtual-reality simulation. This season introduces new host Joy LaFort, portrayed by Katie Burgess, whose debut is upended when the high-stakes competition develops a mind of its own.
Building on the original 2018 film, Extinction promises expanded dinosaur action and fresh in-game twists that test contestants’ resolve at every turn. Viewers can expect the same blend of survival drama and futuristic spectacle that made the first installment a cult favorite—now refined for a new audience of genre fans.
