Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has acquired North American VOD rights to the thriller The Man With the Silver Case. The film will arrive on digital HD internet, cable, DVD, and satellite platforms beginning April 7, 2026.

Written and directed by Colin Best, the film follows an unnamed figure known only as the “Man in Gray,” a troubled courier who accepts a dangerous assignment: deliver a mysterious suitcase to a secretive organization. Handcuffed to the case and pursued by ruthless adversaries, the man finds himself fleeing across Switzerland as the job begins to unravel. His attempt to hide out at a remote safe house places an unsuspecting family directly in the path of the violent world he is trying to escape.

Shot in native black-and-white on location in Switzerland, The Man With the Silver Case contrasts the stark landscape of the late-winter Alps with the psychological struggle of its central character. The story draws stylistic inspiration from filmmakers including Jean-Pierre Melville, Alfred Hitchcock, and Michael Haneke while blending high-concept visual design with grounded thriller elements.

The film stars Stuart Reid as the Man in Gray alongside Lara Marian, Tom Ohmer, Antonio Luque, Verity Jones, Noelle Zweifel, Benji Gerber, Pierre Gribling, Marysol Fernandez, Kaspar Weiss, Piotr Tollik, and Joby Ogwyn.

Best produced the film with Chris Martin, Beni Lehmann, and Joby Ogwyn. The soundtrack incorporates a wide range of music, featuring tracks from artists including The Grateful Dead, The Cure, David Byrne and Brian Eno, Grizzly Bear, and Conway Twitty, alongside classical and jazz compositions.
