Los Angeles’s beloved immersive horror theater experience Urban Death: Tour of Terror is back for another terrifying season, with a special ULTRA edition kicking off at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group in North Hollywood. The show opens October 8, 2026.
Urban Death takes guests through a dark maze followed by a series of grotesque, wordless horror vignettes — all packed into 45 relentless minutes. Created by Zombie Joe and Jana Wimer and directed by Denise Devin, the production has been haunting Los Angeles for over 20 years, earning coverage in the LA Times, LA Taco, BroadwayWorld, and HorrorBuzz, and performing at venues including LACMA, Off-Broadway in New York City, Las Vegas, Edinburgh, and Cape Town, South Africa. It’s also a perennial staple of the Midsummer Scream festival.
The show is 17+ and wheelchair accessible, and runs at Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group, located at 4850 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA 91601. Performance dates run October 9–10, 16–17, 23–25, 30–31, and November 1. Doors open at 7:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays; Friday through Sunday showtimes run 8:00 pm through 11:30 pm. Tickets are $24.00 in advance, $28.00 at the door.
