Elli Films, in association with Mind Engagement Productions and Unfolding Entertainment, has announced that Voidance, a tense sci-fi time-loop thriller, will close the Sci-Fi London Film Festival on May 17 and arrive on digital platforms worldwide beginning May 25, 2026.

Directed by Marianna Dean (Breaking Infinity), Voidance places its protagonist in an increasingly urgent loop of failure and recalibration. To earn a place in the elite ATIC Guard, Alana Toro must prevent a terrorist attack inside a simulated space station bar — but each failed attempt resets the scenario with fewer chances remaining. As Alana moves through a cast of guarded and unpredictable patrons, gaining trust proves as difficult as identifying the actual threat. New details emerge with every loop, assumptions shift, and the only path forward may require breaking the very rules she’s been tested to uphold.
Zoe Cunningham (Breaking Infinity) stars as Alana alongside James Cosmo (Game of Thrones, Braveheart), Neil Bishop (Beautiful Disaster, Beautiful Wedding), Mim Shaikh (Queenie, Informer), Billy Price (Hollyoaks), and Chris Charles (Hollyoaks, Mrs. Sidhu Investigates). The screenplay is by Simon X. Frederick. The film is produced by Tom Taplin, Marianna Dean, and Zoe Cunningham.
“When something has been living in your head for a long time, it’s exciting to see it as a final movie, released into the world,” said Dean. “Hearing back how the audience relate to the film is a particular joy.”
Producer Tom Taplin framed the film’s political undercurrent plainly: “Sci-fi is an amazing genre to explore urgent moral questions without our biases from earthly politics — the ATIC universe is rich with complex political alliances, warring planets, and corrupt enforcement agencies. Voidance shows us the consequences, and the sacrifices, of making up your own mind.”
Voidance arrives on digital platforms in the UK and Ireland on May 25, in the US and Canada on May 26, and in Australia and New Zealand on May 27. Tickets for the Sci-Fi London Film Festival closing night screening are available at sci-fi-london.com.
