Focus Features has released the second official trailer for WERWULF, the new film from director Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, Nosferatu), arriving in theaters on December 25, 2026. Alongside the footage, the studio has opened an alternate reality game that runs through the autumn full moons.

Focus bills WERWULF as “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within” and Eggers’ “most visceral and haunting experience yet.” Eggers wrote the screenplay with SjΓ³n, his co-writer on The Northman. The cast is led by Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train, Kraven the Hunter), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), and Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu).
The game lives at DevourethAllMankynde.com and is timed to each of the full moons from September through November. On every full moon, players have 24 hours to hunt down a hidden “sign” scattered across digital platforms, then decipher it back into the site to complete that moon. The first clue went live on the film’s official X account, and anyone who clears all three moons unlocks a mysterious prize.
Eggers produces alongside Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Garrett Bird, and SjΓ³n, with Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, and Bernard Bellew serving as executive producers.
WERWULF opens in theaters on December 25, 2026.
