BayView Entertainment has announced the worldwide streaming release of Howler, the latest feature from writer-director Richard Bailey. Now available to rent or purchase on Amazon Prime Video and other digital platforms, the indie film combines arthouse sensibilities with elements of fantasy and light horror while continuing Bailey’s longstanding focus on social and environmental themes.

The story centers on Leni, a poet who experiences an apocalyptic vision on the eve of receiving a major award. Believing her newfound platform should be used to warn the world, Leni’s conviction begins to concern those closest to her—particularly as a celebration in her honor unfolds with increasingly unusual ideas and imagery. Inspired by Bailey’s upbringing on a Texas farm, the film draws from folklore, ritual, and the natural world to shape its tone.
