Overlook Film Festival 2026 – Writer/director Randall Snare’s Has Anyone Else Lost Their Body? puts a new meaning on the concept of going viral. A reluctant influencer’s dance videos have dangerous consequences, to the point that people lose control of their bodies after watching her videos. While we’ve seen plenty of influencer horror movies over the last few years, we haven’t quite seen one like this.

The short film stars Kristian Mosley as Zeela. She records and uploads dance videos for herself. When others fawn over the number of views her videos gain, she shrugs off the influencer label and says more than once she has no desire to be that. Within the first minute or two, she meets the creepy and demanding Al (James Joseph O’Neil), who pressures her to keep uploading videos because he wants more bodies. I read his character as the devil, eager to consume souls, and in this case, using Zeela’s viral videos to do so. The second half of the short focuses on Zeela at her workplace. Her coworkers note that because her videos have been drawing millions of eyeballs, she should quit her day job. Yet, she refuses to do so, despite her strict boss who reminds her that her queue is rapidly piling up.

Despite her increasingly reluctance, Zeela’s influence grows and grows, as do the consequences. Though she initially created the videos for fun and for something to do, the sensation catches on, to the point her coworkers watch and also lose control of their bodies. All of this leads to a wildly entertaining final minute or two and one hell of a dance sequence with Zeela and all of her coworkers. And while I do think some of the short’s ideas could have been fleshed out more, this is still one entertaining ride.

Has Anyone Else Lost Their Body? is a unique brand of influencer horror that we haven’t quite seen yet. I’d love to see Snare turn this into a feature-length film and explore some of these ideas further. This movie is stylish and creative as heck.
