Paramount Pictures and Miramax have released the final trailer for Scary Movie, the long-awaited franchise revival from the Wayans Brothers, opening in theaters, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and Premium Large Format on June 5, 2026.
Twenty-six years after the original, the Core Four are back. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reprise their roles in a film that promises to tear through the modern horror landscape — reboots, requels, elevated horror, legacy sequels, and everything in between. Nothing, the filmmakers insist, is sacred. The Wayans are taking aim at decades of genre evolution and inviting audiences along for the carnage.
Directed by Michael Tiddes (A Haunted House 2, Fifty Shades of Black) and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez from characters created by Shawn and Marlon Wayans, the film reunites the original creative team for the first time since the franchise launched in 2000. The ensemble cast also includes Kenan Thompson, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Damon Wayans Jr., Heidi Gardner, Kim Wayans, and Dave Sheridan, alongside newcomers Olivia Rose Keegan, Sydney Park, and Cameron Scott Roberts.
Scary Movie opens exclusively in theaters on June 5, 2026.
