Seven Tales has announced the UK digital debut of The Spirit Lock, a gothic supernatural horror from director Steven Fierberg (Secretary, Emily in Paris), arriving September 7, 2026.

Karl and Vanessa Mellor are struggling with a crumbling marriage when their son shows signs of demonic possession. Desperate to save their child and repair their fractured relationship, the couple sets out to understand the evil consuming him. When they turn to a cursed pagan device known as the Spirit Lock, they risk unleashing something far worse — a force that threatens not just their sanity, but their souls.
Fierberg, best known as the cinematographer behind Secretary and the Netflix hit Emily in Paris, steps into the director’s chair for this British chiller, bringing a filmmaker’s eye for atmosphere and dread to the supernatural family drama. The film stars Joe Anderson (Across the Universe, Hannibal) and Yasmin Al-Khudhairi (Rye Lane, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) as Karl and Vanessa, with Tim Downie (Good Omens, Outlander), Stefanos Paraskevopoulos, and James Crawley rounding out the cast.
Blending family drama with occult horror, The Spirit Lock explores guilt, grief, and the perilous space between belief and fear — with possession horror used as a lens for a marriage and a family in freefall.
The Spirit Lock is on UK digital from September 7, 2026, courtesy of Seven Tales.
