The Fearist household is a buzz of excitement as WonderCon Anaheim approaches. We are finishing up our cosplay, packing our backpacks, and perusing the schedule of events in anticipation of a long weekend at the con.

Here are the things that you shouldn’t miss:

Check out the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival located in 303AB. A great place to sit down, unwind and watch original films for the entire family. I highly recommend it if your kids (of any age) become over-stimulated by the crowds. You can get the schedule of films here.

You know it’s a con weekend when you are at a red light waiting for a Stormtrooper, the Hulk and Michone with three chained zombies to cross the street. You’ve seen the whole Avengers Team on the floor, sat next to Pennywise during Mr. X’s Guide to CGI Creature and Monster Creation panel and yet, you have a deep yearning for more cosplay! Don’t worry, you can get your fill of incredible costuming at the WonderCon 2018 Masquerade! 3,000 attendees flood into the arena to catch some of the best Cosplayers in the country. Who will win Best in Show? Find out Saturday March 24th at 8:30pm.

New this year: Her Universe Junior Design Camp. “Her Universe” founder, Ashley Eckstein, and her team lead a 3 hour symposium and workshop for budding young designers. Children ages 5-17 will learn the ins and outs of the fashion business and includes a Q & A portion. Parents are welcome! Room 204C Saturday 10am-1pm

WonderCon’s exhibit hall has everything you need to satisfy your pop culture shopping needs. From T-shirts to one of a kind artwork, the show floor is a ginormous pop culture marketplace. Be sure to leave plenty of time to roam the show floor and bring your patience as it can get very crowded. We spend a lot of time in Artist’s Alley supporting people who breathe life into our favorite characters and introduce us to new works of art. This is a *do not miss* of WonderCon. Are you looking for a specific vendor? Check out the list here! How about fan tables? The amazing occupants of artist alley here!

Last year I spent some time in the gaming area. While I am not a huge gamer, I was intrigued at various tables set up and ready for players. A perfect area for older kids who are into or perhaps curious about getting into table top, card and deck building games.

WonderCon Anaheim starts on Friday March 23rd at the Anaheim Convention Center. You can still get badges just click here! Enjoy your weekend immersed in pop culture. Stay tuned to Horrorbuzz for awe inspiring cosplay and more of what WonderCon has to offer.
