What is black and white and red all over?
Chicken Police! Originally released back in November 2020, fans of the game have been anxiously awaiting for the retail release, and it’s finally almost here!
The release date in Europe will be June 15th, 2021, while anybody in the United States will have to wait until June 29th, and will be exclusive to Gamestop. Chicken Police will be available on PC and PlayStation 4 for $19.99, and Nintendo Switch for $29.99.
Synopsis: This film-noir inspired cop-adventure game features a stunning yet unique visual style, using artistic photo-manipulation and lifelike 3D backgrounds to set it apart. A seamless blend of a dark plot with satire recalls the vibe inspired by classic film-noir movies of the 1940’s. Gritty, desperate, and with a dash of cynical humor, players can experience this sinister story all in a novel style dialogue system.
Also included are over 30 characters to either simply socialize with, or apply the fiercest of interrogation tactics. Players will have to collect evidence, investigate clues, and gather as much information as possible to be used against the sketchy folks of Clawville.
Some key features of Chicken Police include the following:
- A thrilling, rich storyline
- A cinematic film-noir like experience
- A complex interrogation system
- Lots of optional content and background lore
- Lots of clues and collectibles
- More than 30 unique characters
Voice acting is portrayed throughout the entirety, so I’m hoping that it’s a constant throughout the game, rather than just bits of it to emphasize certain sentences or exclamations.
The interrogation system also seems incredibly intriguing, certainly reminiscent of LA Noire, Paradise Killer, and similar investigation games. These systems add a whole new side of immersion, and I’m definitely looking forward to exploring this world the trailer has given a peak of.
