During today’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at today’s E3 presentation, developers at Asobo Studio officially announced A Plague Tale: Requiem, highly anticipated sequel to fan-favorite A Plague Tale: Innocence.
On top of revealing the existence, we all got a release window for sometime in 2022!
Synopsis: Set as a direct sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, the trailer for Requiem features the cherished duo of Hugo and Amicia. After the original game’s finale, this young duo are now set to embark on an entirely new journey, set out to survive as they’re hunted by Inquisition soldiers, and surrounded by threatening swarms of rats. Players will follow these two as they fight against the massive devastation within the world.
Before A Plague Tale: Requiem is officially launched, players will have the opportunity to play the original chapter, A Plague Tale: Innocence, whether that be on the Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
On top of that, we also now know that Requiem will be included in the Xbox Game Pass on day one of its release!
The first thing to note is that the trailer was captured in-engine, so we can expect the quality to remain the same when the game is released. Which is a huge asset for the game to carry under its belt, since these graphics are certainly something to write home about.
We hear a small amount of dialogue from Amicia right before we see an already-eerie alley become swarmed with a massive wave of rats. A lone crow sits on an abandoned cart, and the dark omens are felt within the entire trailer – all up until the very end, where Hugo is overlooking an absolutely stunning view from atop a cliff. These graphics are truly the star of the show, and I’m so excited to see some actual gameplay when the release date comes near.
We here at HorrorBuzz will continue to provide updates as we hear them for A Plague Tale: Requiem.
