Universal Destinations & Experiences is turning up the gore this fall with the debut of a Terrifier haunted house, inspired by Damien Leone’s breakout slasher franchise. The nightmare opens at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, August 29, before stalking west to Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday, September 4.

First introduced in 2008, Art the Clown has carved a path through three films (with a fourth in production). Now, Halloween Horror Nights fans will step into his gruesome Funhouse from Terrifier 2, navigating cramped corridors, the chaotic Clown Café, a foul restroom scene, and a blood-soaked Christmas vignette. Familiar faces—Vicky, the Little Pale Girl, and more—populate the maze while signature kills play out mere inches away.
Orlando’s event runs 48 nights through November 2, featuring ten haunted houses, scare zones, and live shows. Fear Passes start at $199.99 + tax online, while upgrades such as Express Pass, R.I.P. Tour, Premium Scream Night (Aug 28), and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour add extra thrills. Hotel vacation packages bundle daytime park entry and exclusive perks, including a dedicated HHN gate. Annual and Seasonal Passholders can snag discounts of up to 40 percent on select hotels and access limited-time food items.
Hollywood’s version operates select nights September 4 – November 2 with ticket tiers spanning General Admission, Universal Express, After 2 P.M. Day/Night, an Early Access Ticket (5:30 p.m.), the guided R.I.P. Tour, plus Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear passes for repeat visits.
