From director Johnny Mitchell comes a terrifying, first-rate horror-thriller from Canada. Mitchell, Brandon Tataryn and Brad Wetherly wrote the screenplay, while Eric Knudsen (Scream 4), Atticus Mitchell (“Killjoys”), Melinda Shankar (“Slasher”), and Paul Popowich (“Hemlock Grove”) also star.
Blindsided on DVD and Digital August 13, 2019.
Synopsis: Sloan Carter is a young girl who has recently been blinded. Her father leaves for the weekend and her two best friends, returning home from University, keep her company. A protege of her father’s, passing through town, also spends the night. The peaceful weekend is interrupted by a shadowy threat and the safe country getaway turns into a fight for survival.
Even though this movie has solid potential, I would like to see it clarify and dive deeper into the lore, explaining how Sloan Carter lost her vision and why is this particular individual considered to be her father’s “protege.” With much to learn, I am sure that this film will turn out really good.
