The first teaser trailer for Blood, an upcoming found footage horror film from Francesco Monti, has been released following a months-long viral campaign that blurred the line between fiction and reality.

The rollout began with a TikTok account, “justfoundthiscam,” which posted a series of videos allegedly recovered from a camcorder found deep in the woods. The footage followed a young woman named Simone documenting increasingly unsettling events after discovering the camera. As the clips evolved, viewers were drawn into a narrative filled with unexplained sounds and activity just outside the frame, prompting speculation about whether the content was real or part of an alternate reality game.
The account quickly gained traction, generating over 10 million views and widespread discussion online. It has now been confirmed that the campaign was tied directly to Blood, with Simone revealed to be a character in the film and the TikTok account serving as an extension of its story world.
The newly released teaser offers the first official look at the film’s premise. Blood centers on two friends attempting to create a low-budget slasher movie. As production continues, tensions between them escalate, leading to a breakdown in their relationship and a descent into obsession and violence.
Written, directed, and produced by Monti under Gore Culture, the film continues his focus on psychologically driven horror. Spyder Dobrofsky joins as executive producer alongside Jason Renaldy and Torin Penwell.
With its teaser now available and a marketing campaign that has already captured significant online attention, Blood positions itself as a found footage project built around both narrative experimentation and audience engagement. Distribution details have not yet been announced.
