Magnificent Films is making waves with their latest venture, Drained, which is set to premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Directed by British filmmakers Sean Cronin and Peter Stylianou, this London-based vampire feature promises a blend of horror and romance.

The film, a product of a collaboration between Magnificent Films, House 54, and Red Guerilla Films, has completed post-production and explores the story of Thomas, a jobless post-graduate who falls dangerously in love with Rhea, a mysterious woman revealed to be a vampire. The film follows Thomas as his life spirals into chaos, mirroring addictive and destructive forces.

Drained stars Ruaridh Aldington and Madalina Bellariu Ion, with notable appearances by Craig Conway and Angela Dixon. Behind the scenes, the film features production design by Ellie Campbell and cinematography by Daniel Patrick Vaughan.

Sean Cronin describes Drained as a mesmerizing blend of darkness and beauty, set against a neon-noir backdrop that captures London’s enigmatic underbelly. Peter Stylianou adds depth to the narrative, exploring themes of addiction and self-destruction, likening the modern societal traps to vampires that drain life.
