Independent apocalypse horror film HOLLER is making its final push toward completion. Currently in production through Subterranean Sound & Vision in Illinois, the character-driven feature has released its official trailer alongside a final Kickstarter campaign designed to help the filmmakers finish production and move into post-production.
Set years after the dead have overtaken the world, HOLLER follows an isolated survivor who reluctantly journeys across the rural Midwest with a pregnant young woman. Their struggle to survive gradually forces him to confront the grief and isolation that have kept him from allowing another person into his life.
Rather than placing zombie action at the center of the story, HOLLER uses its post-apocalyptic setting to explore grief, survival and human connection. The dead remain a constant part of the world, but the filmmakers describe the film as a story focused primarily on the people attempting to live within it.
With production already underway, the independent filmmaking team is now seeking additional funding to complete the remaining work while maintaining the intended scope of the project. The final Kickstarter campaign will support the completion of production and help move HOLLER toward post-production and an eventual release.
