Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will mark the 50th anniversary of JAWS with a new 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™, and Digital release available June 17, 2025. The JAWS 50th Anniversary Edition includes a newly produced documentary, JAWS @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story, and more than five hours of archival and never-before-seen bonus features.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and originally released in 1975, JAWS redefined summer cinema and earned three Academy Awards®, including Best Original Score. The 50th anniversary package celebrates the film’s legacy with a range of materials, including deleted scenes, original on-set footage, and restoration insights. A limited edition SteelBook featuring exclusive artwork will also be released.

The centerpiece of this edition is the JAWS @ 50 documentary, directed by Laurent Bouzereau. Produced in collaboration with National Geographic, Amblin Documentaries, Nedland Media, and Wendy Benchley, the documentary explores the film’s enduring cultural impact, its production history, and its influence on both cinema and marine conservation efforts.
