Inspired by real events surrounding Oscarville, Georgia, and the rumored hauntings of Lake Lanier, the new horror thriller Lanier is set to arrive on UK digital platforms on May 5, 2025, through Reel 2 Reel Films.

Written and directed by William Eric Bush-Anderson and Cindy Kunz-Anderson in their feature debut, Lanier follows Detective Jeff Stevenson (Ali Ashtigo, Herman Jones) as he plans a birthday getaway for his daughter at Lake Lanier. When a mysterious drowning interrupts the celebrations, Jeff partners with local detective Daniel Wilson (Jarrett Michael Collins, Captain America: Brave New World). Despite Wilson’s belief that the lake is haunted and hides the remnants of Oscarville — a once-thriving Black community destroyed in 1912 — Jeff remains skeptical.

As the investigation unfolds, Jeff’s denial is tested when masked strangers invade his home, forcing him into a desperate fight for his family’s survival. Lanier examines how the forgotten history beneath the water continues to echo through time with devastating consequences.

Lanier becomes available for digital purchase and rental across the UK starting May 5.
