The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is heading back to Griffith Park for its 18th season, bringing new attractions and returning favorites to Midnight Falls from September 18 through November 1, 2026.

Leading this year’s additions is Fallen Angel, a new maze set inside the condemned Halo Theatre on the Sunset Strip. According to the attraction’s backstory, the heavy metal band Fallen Angel died during a pyrotechnics accident while rehearsing a Halloween concert 41 years ago. When devoted fans break into the theater and perform a ritual to resurrect the band, things go wrong — and they become convinced that guests are the missing musicians.

The signature Haunted Hayride also returns with new scenes, original music, expanded soundscaping and additional choreography from Bobby Newberry. Sway poles will make their first appearance at the event since 2014.

Returning attractions include Elvira’s Trick or Treat Mayhem, featuring the Mistress of the Dark’s mix of Halloween candy, monsters and mischief, and Hellbilly Halloween, which takes visitors into the backwoods of Midnight Falls and the territory of its resident cannibal family.

A new séance show will expand the mythology of Midnight Falls by revealing how the town became cursed and trapped on Halloween night in 1985. The event is also adding themed bars for guests 21 and older, marking the first time alcohol will be served onsite.

Throughout the night, guests can explore Midnight Falls, encounter its roaming residents and find seasonal food and merchandise. The Cider Mill Experience returns with warm apple cider and fresh cider donuts, alongside s’mores stations and plant-based food options from Mr. Charlie’s.

This year’s Los Angeles Haunted Hayride will also feature the following add-on experiences:

  • Madame Aurora Seance Theater – New! Drawn to the thin veil between the living and the dead, world-famous medium Madame Aurora conjures spirits before guests’ eyes. The new storyline reveals how Midnight Falls became trapped on Halloween night in 1985, but not every spirit she summons is benign.
  • Scary-Go-Round – Take a spin on Midnight Falls’ eerie carousel, where a familiar carnival favorite carries a sinister Halloween twist.
  • Midnight Falls Axe Throwing – Learn to defend against the town’s less-than-friendly ghouls as the Axeperts of Midnight Falls coach guests through five attempts to hit the bullseye.
  • Mini Escape Games – Race against the clock to solve cryptic riddles and hidden clues in a five-minute challenge before time runs out.
  • S’mores Package – Gather around the firelight in Town Square and roast a classic Halloween treat beneath the watchful gaze of Midnight Falls’ roaming residents.
  • Zombie Splat GellyBall Experience – Armed with glowing GellyBalls and protective eyewear, guests face actor-driven zombies in a fast-paced, five-minute battle.
  • Combo Pack – Includes the Scary-Go-Round, Midnight Falls Axe Throwing, Madame Aurora Seance Theater and Zombie Splat GellyBall Experience.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride runs select nights September 18 through November 1, 2026, at Griffith Park. Tickets start at $38.99 on select nights.
