Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and returning filmmaker Gerard Johnstone team up for M3GAN 2.0, marching the franchise back onto the big screen June 27. Two years after the original doll’s rampage, inventor-turned-author Gemma (Allison Williams) faces a new threat: Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), a weaponized version of M3GAN’s stolen code developed by a defense contractor. As Amelia’s autonomy grows, humanity’s safety erodes, forcing Gemma to reactivate and upgrade the original M3GAN (performed by Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) for a confrontation that will decide the future of A.I.

The sequel reunites Williams with Violet McGraw, now playing a rebellious teenage Cady, and welcomes Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement to the ensemble. Johnstone writes and directs from a story co-crafted with Akela Cooper, building on characters created by Cooper and James Wan. Producers James Wan, Jason Blum, and Williams return after the first film’s $180 million global run.
