Dark Sky Films will release Marc Schölermann’s survival thriller BARK on Digital and VOD platforms June 13. The feature stars Michael Weston (Garden State, Scrubs) as charismatic ad-man Nolan Bentley, who wakes bound to a tree deep in the wilderness with no memory of how he got there. When an enigmatic outdoorsman (A.J. Buckley, SEAL Team) pitches camp beside him—and pointedly refuses to help—Nolan is forced to confront buried truths that link his captivity to the darkest corners of his past.

Premiering at Fantastic Fest, BARK won praise for turning a minimal two-hander into a tense meditation on guilt, identity, and the human instinct for survival. Screenwriter Steve Fauquier keeps the story tightly focused on escalating dialogue, while Schölermann—known for his commercial and music-video work—maximizes the single-location setting to amplify dread.
