The Overlook Film Festival will bring its “dark carnival” back to New Orleans April 15 through 18, 2027, with 2027 festival passes going on sale October 31 with a one-day Halloween Slash Sale.

The Overlook Lagniappe will follow April 19 through 22, offering repeat screenings of select festival titles and retro programming for out-of-towners who want to see it all and locals who cannot make the festival weekend. The Lagniappe is open to all pass holders and held exclusively at The Prytania Theaters, the festival’s home and producing partner.

Passes come in two tiers: Camper Passes and the all-access Final Girl Passes. For all of October 31, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Central, Camper Pass purchases are discounted by $126. The festival warns that passes can and will sell out, and any Final Girl Passes remaining after December 31 will increase in price. More information is promised on All Hallow’s Eve.

Filmmakers can still submit to Overlook ahead of the festival’s Halloween (Un)Deadline, with Louisiana filmmakers receiving a discount on shorts submissions. Immersive event submissions are also being accepted through FilmFreeway.

Overlook is also pointing fans to the Prytania Theaters’ Halloween lineup, which includes the 4K uncut restoration of Ken Russell’s The Devils.
