Acrostar Productions has launched a Crowdfundr campaign for Revenge of the Corn Zombies, the concluding chapter of director Steve Hermann’s indie zombie trilogy. The film is set to shoot in July 2026 at the haunted Indiana State Sanatorium, with distribution through BayView Entertainment.

Revenge of the Corn Zombies picks up six years after the original outbreak. Survivors have carved out an uneasy refuge inside an abandoned sanatorium — but a new undead threat is closing in, forcing them to fight for their lives once more. Hermann is pushing the series forward with evolved zombie behavior, deeper psychological tension, and an expanded showcase of practical effects work from SFX makeup artists Beth Metcalf and Marcus Koch.
The trilogy began as a low-budget, campy throwback to late-1960s zombie cinema with Attack of the Corn Zombies, then shifted toward suspense and atmosphere in Return of the Corn Zombies. Hermann (Attack of the Corn Zombies, Return of the Corn Zombies) directs the finale from his own screenplay, with Ann Myrna producing. A paranormal investigation of the Indiana State Sanatorium will be conducted on-site during filming by Spiritual and Haunted.
The Crowdfundr campaign offers fan perks ranging from IMDB credits to screen-used props and on-screen acting opportunities. BayView Entertainment, who previously distributed the earlier entries in the series, will handle distribution for the completed film.
