Deskpop Entertainment has announced the upcoming VOD release of Soul Chapel, a Southern Gothic thriller produced by MTS Pictures. Directed by Jake C. Young and written by David Daring, the film will be available for purchase and rental on major digital platforms beginning April 7, 2026.
Set in the remote wilderness of Kentucky, Soul Chapel follows a desperate drifter, played by Andrew Pierson, who ventures into the backwoods in search of a rumored cache of gold. His journey takes an unexpected turn when a sudden snowstorm forces him to take shelter in an isolated structure known as Soul’s Chapel. As the night unfolds, he begins to uncover the chapel’s violent past and realizes that survival may depend on confronting something far more unsettling than the storm outside.
Director Jake C. Young describes the film as an exploration of isolation and the darker aspects of the human psyche, set against the stark landscape of rural Kentucky. The production aims to capture both the physical challenges of the environment and the psychological tension experienced by the film’s central character.
The film also stars Brian Bremer (Pumpkinhead) and Niko El Santo Zavero alongside Pierson.
Soul Chapel will be available across major VOD platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Google Play starting April 7, 2026.
