As the 2025 Sundance Film Festival nears its conclusion, the awards ceremony for both Jury and Audience winners was held at The Ray Theatre in Park City. The event recognized a range of films from diverse categories, including U.S. and World Cinema as well as innovative projects.
The Grand Jury Prizes were awarded to:
- Atropia (U.S. Dramatic Competition)
- Seeds (U.S. Documentary Competition)
- Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears) (World Cinema Dramatic Competition)
- Cutting Through Rocks (اوزاک یوللار) (World Cinema Documentary Competition)
Additionally, the NEXT Innovator Award, presented by Adobe, was given to Zodiac Killer Project.
Audience awards were presented by Acura and United Airlines. Winners included:
- Twinless (U.S. Dramatic Competition) and André is an Idiot (U.S. Documentary Competition) with Acura
- DJ Ahmet (World Cinema Dramatic Competition) and Prime Minister (World Cinema Documentary Competition) with United Airlines
- East of Wall received the NEXT Audience Award presented by Adobe
Festival organizers also hosted a series of discussions at the Cinema Café, sponsored by Audible. The panels featured notable conversations with industry figures such as Olivia Colman, Dame Jacinda Ardern, Elijah Wood, Alia Shawkat, Marlee Matlin, and Lily Gladstone.
In addition to the live events, a selection of festival titles is available online for on-demand viewing through February 2, 2025. The curated program includes competition entries across dramatic, documentary, world cinema, and NEXT categories, as well as other selections from feature, episodic, and shorts programs. This initiative allows viewers to explore independent films from recognized talents like Alia Shawkat, Chloë Sevigny, Dave Franco, Lauren Graham, Steven Yeun, Himesh Patel, Sarah Goldberg, Dylan O’Brien, James Sweeney, Austin Amelio, and Callum Turner before their theatrical release.
The 2025 Sundance Film Festival continues to offer a platform for bold independent storytelling and innovative filmmaking.
