Cameras are rolling in Los Angeles and Denver on The Dead Rose, an indie thriller from writer-director Jimmy Drain featuring a cast led by Frank Stallone, Eric Roberts, and Andrew Divoff.

Stallone stars as Bishop Cybo, a steadfast Catholic prelate entrusted with protecting an ancient dagger capable of unleashing global catastrophe in the wrong hands. The story follows Cybo as he races to protect his close friend Robby Duray (Drain), who is spiraling through a personal crisis while battling the emergence of a terrifying diabolic alter ego. Standing against them is “Kandle” (Divoff), the enigmatic leader of a ruthless Satanic cult with apocalyptic ambitions. Blending intense suspense with ripped-from-the-headlines themes — including racial tension and child trafficking — The Dead Rose frames its supernatural stakes against a portrait of a society pushed to the edge.

Jimmy Drain directs from his own original screenplay. The supporting cast includes Richard Tyson (Black Hawk Down), Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior), Dawna Lee Heising (Bad President), Cooper Huckabee (Urban Cowboy), Jon Mack (Saw VI), Rachel Alig, Erika Monet Butters (The Pastor Who Preys), Aeon Cruz, Eric Cartwright, Bob Bagnall, and Donnie L. Betts. The film is produced by Jimmy Drain, Bob Bagnall, Eric Cartwright, Julie Ann Ream, and Joseph Williamson through ThunderKnight Entertainment LTD.
