Toronto After Dark Film Festival has announced the first four titles of its 19th edition, running October 14 through 18, 2026 in downtown Toronto. The festival’s core feature lineup expands this year from 10 premieres to 14.

Opening the festival’s first full day is the Canadian Premiere of 5 More Minutes, directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera. The whole world is stuck in an endlessly repeating five-minute loop, and one bickering couple has to get home while the consequences of their increasingly destructive choices carry into every new permutation. Also announced is Nicky Murphy’s I Love Paris, a mockumentary about a brash Parisian musician on a soul-draining climb toward music supremacy, which took the Gold Audience Award for Best International Feature at Fantasia. It screens as part of this year’s After Dark Vampire Night.
Closing night goes to Frogman Returns from Anthony Cousins (When Susurrus Stirs), the sequel to his 2023 cult hit Frogman, promising more practical-effects gooeyness and additional cryptid lore for the found footage franchise. Kicking off the festival’s new Late Night Programme is the World Premiere of Casey Donahue’s feature debut My Love For You Is Deep But The Devil Loves Me Deeper, a glitched-out deal-with-the-devil phantasmagoria featuring James Urbaniak (The Venture Bros.), Mike Mitchell, Kyle Mooney (Brigsby Bear), and Beck Bennett (Greener Grass).
Alongside 11 feature premieres and two shorts programmes at Scotiabank Theatre, the festival adds three screenings at the CFMDC’s CineCycle on Spadina Avenue for its more experimental Late Night selections. Programming was led by Festival Legacy Director Peter Kuplowsky and Director of Programming Shannon Hanmer.
Remaining CINE-MANIAC passes are $150.00 CAD and ALL-NIGHTER passes are $220.00 CAD. Single tickets go on sale September 23, 2026 at $16.99. Details at torontoafterdark.com.
