White Wolf and indie developer Revive the Spark have launched a limited free demo of Vampire: The Masquerade – Oaths & Ashes, their upcoming visual novel set in a fractured, post-collapse Berlin. The demo is available through Steam Next Fest through June 22, 2026.
The prologue introduces two Kindred whose stories are destined to collide: Alice Lytelton, an ambitious Ventrue dispatched into the chaos to root out a traitor to the Camarilla, and Lenz, a Thinblood alchemist surviving on the margins of a city tearing itself apart. After the fall of Berlin’s Prince, the Camarilla has retreated, Anarch factions are at each other’s throats, and a self-proclaimed Baron is holding half the city together by brute force. Players step into this powder keg with two protagonists and the full weight of vampire politics pressing down on every choice.
The game skews toward the narrative side of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe — think visual novel rather than action RPG — with an emphasis on atmosphere, political intrigue, and the psychological horror that makes the VtM setting so compelling.
