Temple Hill Entertainment’s upcoming horror film Monitor has added Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus, It’s What’s Inside) to its cast. Directed and written by Matt Black and Ryan Polly, the film is set to begin production on March 10, with filming locations in Barcelona and the Canary Islands.

The story follows a group of social media moderators who refuse to publish a disturbing video, triggering the emergence of a demonic entity that stalks them through every screen they encounter. The film explores the relationship between technology and fear, with a supernatural force targeting those who attempt to suppress its presence.

The production team includes cinematographer Philip Lozano (The Nun II, The Transporter), production designer Núria Guardia (Bird Box: Barcelona, The Crown), and editor Guillermo de la Cal (The Orphanage, Sleep Tight).

Monitor was introduced at AFM 2024, where it quickly secured international distribution. Deals include Elevation for Canada, Capelight for Germany and Austria, Le Pacte for France, Sun for Spain and Latin America, and Spentzos for Greece. Additional distributors include Plaion (Italy), NOS Audiovisuais (Portugal), MisLabel (Scandinavia), Monolith (Eastern Europe), Red Cape (Israel), Front Row (Middle East), and Fabula (Turkey).

Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, and John Fischer—known for producing Smile, The Twilight Saga, and The Maze Runner Trilogy—are producing alongside Adrián Guerra (Buried) for Nostromo Pictures. Protagonist Pictures’ Dave Bishop and George Hamilton serve as executive producers, with Protagonist handling international sales at the upcoming European Film Market (EFM).

“We’re excited to see cameras roll on this project,” said Protagonist Pictures’ Chief Commercial Officer George Hamilton. “Temple Hill has delivered a film that provides a timely and unsettling look at our digital world.”

Temple Hill added, “With Brittany leading our cast, we’re confident Monitor will be both gripping and relevant.”
