Paramount Pictures has announced that Vicious, the latest feature from writer and director Bryan Bertino (The Strangers), begins streaming exclusively on Paramount+ and is available to buy on Digital starting October 10.
The film stars Dakota Fanning as Polly, a woman whose life is upended when a mysterious box arrives at her door in the middle of the night. Inside are simple but cryptic instructions: place three things inside—something you need, something you hate, and something you love. What begins as a curious ritual soon traps Polly in a distorted reality where memory, fear, and desire intertwine.
Bertino, known for his psychological approach to horror, crafts a story that explores the boundaries of human emotion and self-confrontation. As Polly struggles to understand the box’s purpose, she must make impossible choices before the darkness within overtakes her completely.
Vicious is produced by Richard Suckle and Bryan Bertino, with Melinda Whitaker and Shane Boucher serving as executive producers. The film features performances by Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Devyn Nekoda, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell.
