Just in time for Halloween, Tubi has released the official trailer for R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead, a new young-adult horror film inspired by Stine’s anthology series The Haunting Hour. The movie will premiere exclusively on the free streaming platform beginning October 17, 2025.

The story follows teenager Sam, who relocates to the town of Redhaven only to discover that his brother Finn has mysteriously vanished—and that no one, not even their mother, remembers he ever existed. Racing against time, Sam teams up with his friend Becka and Rusty, the town’s eccentric outsider, to break a harvest curse before Finn is lost forever.
The cast features Bean Reid, Adeline Lo (Sorry For Your Cost), Kevin McNulty (Snakes on a Plane), Bob Frazer (Safe Haven), Matty Finochio (Love Hard), and Seth Isaac Johnson (My Old Ass). The film is written and directed by Jem Garrard, with executive producers James Mattagne, Joan Waricha, Harvey Kahn, Yvonne Bernard, Dan Bernard, Jem Garrard, Allen Lewis, and Rama Diallo.
R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead brings the legendary author’s signature storytelling to a new generation of fans, blending small-town mystery with supernatural tension. The film will be available to stream for free, exclusively on Tubi, starting October 17.
