Titan Manga has announced Resident Evil: Death Island Vol. 1, a manga adaptation of the Capcom CG animated film of the same name, arriving in print on September 29. The 224-page black-and-white volume is priced at $12.99 and is available for pre-order now.

Drawn and written by manga artist Zino in collaboration with Capcom and the Death Island Film Partners, the volume drops franchise stalwarts Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers into the worst possible setting: Alcatraz Island, locked down by a catastrophic and mysterious bioterror outbreak. The adaptation carries over the cinematic scale of the source film — explosive action set pieces, atmospheric dread, and character-driven tension — while translating them into the manga format.
For longtime Resident Evil fans, the book offers a new angle on a story already familiar from the film. For newcomers to the franchise or to biopunk horror manga, Death Island Vol. 1 is designed as an accessible entry point into the series’ world of outbreak scenarios, survival under pressure, and the franchise’s signature ensemble of operatives.
An official trailer for the volume is available on YouTube. Resident Evil: Death Island Vol. 1 arrives September 29 and can be pre-ordered via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, and Forbidden Planet in the UK and Europe.
