Siege Industries has set a November 3, 2026, Early Access launch on Steam for Scared by Squares, a liminal horror game in which everything is built from cubes. Solo developer CJ Capelotti is behind the project.

Players take on the role of a prisoner sent into a failing digital prison with something shape-shifting inside it. The blocky, minimalist world leans into the uneasy, empty-space atmosphere that has made liminal horror a growing corner of indie gaming, trading detailed textures for dread in geometry.

The game can be played on a standard screen or in VR, solo or in four-player online co-op. Early Access pricing is $9.99, with 15 percent off during launch week. Players who want a taste first can try the entire first level in the free demo, which is available on Steam now. Capelotti says Early Access keys are available for press, and the trailer is free to use.
