The beloved children’s book series Stitch Head by Guy Bass comes to life this Halloween season with a new animated feature from director Steve Hudson, arriving in theaters nationwide on October 29, 2025.

Starring Asa Butterfield (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Hugo, Sex Education) as Stitch Head and Joel Fry (Cruella) as Creature, the film reimagines a classic monster tale with humor and heart.

Set high above the small town of Grubbers Nubbin, the story follows Stitch Head—the first creation of the castle’s eccentric professor—who spends his days keeping other monsters in line and preventing chaos from reaching the townsfolk below. When a traveling freak show led by the cunning Fulbert Freakfinder arrives, Stitch Head is offered fame, fortune, and perhaps even love. Torn between loyalty and the promise of recognition, he faces a choice that could change everything.

Featuring a voice cast that also includes Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon, Fern Brady, Tia Bannon, and Jamali Maddix, Stitch Head brings a whimsical twist to the Frankenstein legend for audiences of all ages.
