Small Town Monsters marks its tenth anniversary with the release of The Siege of Ape Canyon, a new documentary examining one of the most enduring legends in North American cryptid history. Directed by Eli Watson and produced by Seth Breedlove, the film will debut on major digital platforms—including Prime Video and Vimeo on Demand—on November 11, 2025.

The documentary revisits the infamous 1924 incident in which a group of Washington State miners, led by Fred Beck, claimed to have been attacked by towering, ape-like creatures near Mount St. Helens. The story became one of the earliest and most influential accounts in Bigfoot folklore, inspiring decades of speculation and research.

Through expert interviews, historical context, and exclusive footage from the original cabin site, The Siege of Ape Canyon investigates the facts behind the legend. The film also features insights from researcher Marc Myrsell, whose years of fieldwork have brought new evidence and interpretation to the century-old case.

With The Siege of Ape Canyon, Small Town Monsters continues its exploration of American cryptid lore, following acclaimed titles such as The Mothman of Point Pleasant, On the Trail of Bigfoot, and American Werewolves.

The Siege of Ape Canyon begins streaming November 11 on Prime Video and Vimeo on Demand.
