Halloween season has a new soundtrack contender as LION BABE, the musical duo comprised of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman (Astro Raw), releases its new single, “Vampira.” Arriving October 9, the track embraces the darker side of the season with an atmospheric sound and a theme celebrating mystical, witchy women throughout history.

Speaking about the inspiration behind “Vampira,” the duo describes the song as an invitation to explore the parts of ourselves that have remained dormant. They also connect the release to the fall equinox, embracing themes of shadows, darkness, and feminine power. With its Halloween-inspired concept, the single offers a seasonal addition to the duo’s blend of R&B and electronic production.
Since emerging in 2012, LION BABE has developed a distinctive sound influenced by ’70s and ’90s R&B alongside contemporary electronic music. Their debut single, “Treat Me Like Fire,” helped establish the duo, while later releases such as “Wonder Woman,” “Jump Hi,” and “Rockets” continued to expand their musical reach. Their projects have also featured collaborations with artists including Pharrell Williams, Childish Gambino, Ghostface Killah, and Busta Rhymes.
Beyond recorded music, LION BABE has performed at festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza, while building a creative presence across fashion, television, and the arts.
Now, with “Vampira,” LION BABE turns toward Halloween, drawing on themes of mystery, transformation, and feminine energy. Fans can stream the new single and add a little dark glamour to their seasonal playlists.
