Beyond Casual Media has announced that its psychological horror thriller The Observance will receive an exclusive theatrical run at AMC Theatres in major U.S. markets. The film is set to debut as a nationwide limited release beginning February 13, 2026.

The Observance follows a woman who awakens from a five-year coma after a serious car accident to discover her life has been overtaken by an enigmatic religious figure. Her husband and daughter are now devoted followers, and she soon realizes that the influence extends well beyond her household, reaching the entire town. As she searches for answers, she confronts the lengths the group will go to in order to protect its beliefs.

The film stars Ted Raimi, known for his role as Hoffman in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and as Sheriff Travis Hackett in the horror video game The Quarry. He is joined by Beyond Casual ensemble members Kate Dailey and Alec James.

The screenplay was co-written by Beyond Casual principals Rob Hollocks and Amy Bailey, based on an original story by Bailey. Hollocks also directs and produces the film alongside Bailey.

Since its festival debut, The Observance has earned ten awards and additional recognition from genre festivals in the U.S. and internationally. Honors include Best Thriller and Best Director at the Hollywood Best Indie Film Awards, Best Feature/Suspense Thriller at the International Horror Hotel Film Festival, and Best Horror/Thriller at the Berlin Indie Film Festival, where both Kate Dailey and Ted Raimi received acting awards.
