Shudder has unveiled the official trailer for Reflection in a Dead Diamond (Reflet dans un diamant mort), the latest film from acclaimed filmmaking duo Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani. Following its debut at the Berlin International Film Festival, the stylish spy thriller will arrive in select theaters on November 21, 2025, before streaming exclusively on Shudder beginning December 5, 2025.
Starring Golden Globe winner Fabio Testi (The Garden of the Finzi-Continis, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly), Yannick Renier, Koen De Bouw, Maria De Medeiros, Céline Camara, and introducing Thi Mai Nguyen, Reflection in a Dead Diamond continues the filmmakers’ signature exploration of giallo-inspired visuals and Euro-thriller atmosphere.
The story follows a 70-year-old ex-spy living in a luxury hotel on the Côte d’Azur whose quiet retirement unravels when the woman in the room next door vanishes. As he searches for answers, he becomes entangled in a collision of moviemaking, memories, and madness from his shadowy past.
After acclaimed screenings at Berlin, Fantastic Fest, and Tribeca, the film marks a new chapter in Cattet and Forzani’s ongoing evolution of genre cinema — one steeped in intrigue, identity, and style.
Reflection in a Dead Diamond premieres in select theaters November 21 and streams exclusively on Shudder December 5.
